WHY YEDID L'BODED?
Every year, idealistic young Jews from across the globe leave everything familiar—family, language and culture—
to serve the Jewish people in Israel.
Whether as Lone Soldiers in the IDF or Lone Bnot Sheirut doing volunteer national service, these young men and women voluntarily take on some of Israel’s toughest responsibilities.
But while they protect Israel--who protects them?
Far from home and family, these volunteers face a silent battle:
Emotional isolation, cultural disconnection, and rising mental health struggles.
